The deal that NCFed negotiated with The Beech Tree / Insurance Experts some time ago has been questioned by some of our members with regards to its value. The aim of the deal was to get suitable insurance for woodland & coppice workers at a better price than one would through manually trawling the internet. We would like to put it to the test and see if it is actually better value than other deals members may have found elsewhere. It would be good to have some idea of people’s experiences so that we can share the knowledge & all benefit. If the NCFed deal is nolonger competitive & needs to be renegotiated then we will bring this up with NCFed & see if something better can be accomplished, or else stop promoting it. But if it’s still offering something favourable then it’s good to know that too, right?
- Please could you let me know if you have had a quote from The Beech Tree / Insurance Experts but decided to take out a policy with somebody else instead? And if so, why?
- If you are happy to share details of how much you pay for Public / Employers Liability, & what level of cover this gives you (e.g. £1m, £2m, £5, £10m) that would be helpful. Also any exclusions or specific inclusions that affect the premium… Thanks in advance for any information you are happy to share to help others get a better or more suitable deal.
I’ll try to assemble some Top Tips for choosing a policy for the next update, & will share a summary of other people’s experiences if I get any response!
Do we have any members with specific knowledge or experience in the sector who would be willing to offer a few words of advice to those who find the world of insurance a bit bewildering?
